Brooke Henderson Goes Back-To-Back on Wins
BARRINGTON, R.I. (June 19, 2017) – Brooke Henderson, Keegan Bradley, and tournament co-host Billy Andrade pulled out a win at the 2017 CVS Health Charity Classic with two birdies on the last hole. The three-person team, comprised of one player from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours, became the first winners of the CVS Health Charity Classic in its new format.
This is the first time in its 19 years, a tournament host has won. Billy Andrade broke the drought alongside his aforementioned teammates, Henderson and Bradley. Andrade lost in a playoff last year against Bradley and Curran.
Bradley is the first in Charity Classic history to win the tournament not just three times, but in a row. The New England native sunk a birdie on the 18th hole to tie with former teammate (and two-time winning partner), Curran’s team. Henderson later finished the job with a birdie of her own.
In just 24 hours, Henderson won back-to-back tournaments. After winning the Meijer LPGA Classic, Henderson boarded a flight headed for the CVS Health Charity Classic. Henderson sunk the birdie for the winning putt for the trio.
